Many Americans of Polish descent are citizens of Poland and don\u2019t even know it. Polish citizenship passes from parents to children. If your parent, grandfather, or great-grandfather was a citizen of Poland, you may be entitled to a Polish passport and with it to citizenship of the European Union: the right to live, work, and study in any EU country.<\/p>

For people whose ancestors emigrated from Poland and who want to confirm their citizenship, obtain a Polish passport or arrange their Polish family documents.<\/p>

What does the process look like?<\/strong><\/p>

  1. Free preliminary assessment.<\/strong> You are telling us the story of your family, and we are checking whether there is a basis for filing an application. The key dates are the emigration and the possible naturalization of the ancestor in the USA.<\/li>
  2. Individual valuation.<\/strong> Every family history is different, so after an initial assessment we prepare a valuation tailored to your case. You know in advance how much you will pay and for what.<\/li>
  3. Searching for documents.<\/strong> We help find birth certificates, marriage certificates, and baptismal records in Polish archives, civil registry offices, and parishes.<\/li>
  4. Translations and preparation of the application.<\/strong> We arrange sworn translations and help fill out the application, which must be submitted in Polish.<\/li>
  5. Submission of the application.<\/strong> The application is submitted directly to the voivode or through the Polish consulate in the USA. We help prepare for the visit.<\/li>
  6. Further steps.<\/strong> After receiving the decision, we help with the transcription of civil status documents, the assignment of a PESEL number, and the submission of an application for a Polish passport.<\/li><\/ol>
