Confirmation of Polish citizenship for Polonia
Reclaim your Polish roots
Many Americans of Polish descent are citizens of Poland and don’t even know it. Polish citizenship passes from parents to children. If your parent, grandfather, or great-grandfather was a citizen of Poland, you may be entitled to a Polish passport and with it to citizenship of the European Union: the right to live, work, and study in any EU country.
For whom?
For people whose ancestors emigrated from Poland and who want to confirm their citizenship, obtain a Polish passport or arrange their Polish family documents.
What does the process look like?
- Free preliminary assessment. You are telling us the story of your family, and we are checking whether there is a basis for filing an application. The key dates are the emigration and the possible naturalization of the ancestor in the USA.
- Individual valuation. Every family history is different, so after an initial assessment we prepare a valuation tailored to your case. You know in advance how much you will pay and for what.
- Searching for documents. We help find birth certificates, marriage certificates, and baptismal records in Polish archives, civil registry offices, and parishes.
- Translations and preparation of the application. We arrange sworn translations and help fill out the application, which must be submitted in Polish.
- Submission of the application. The application is submitted directly to the voivode or through the Polish consulate in the USA. We help prepare for the visit.
- Further steps. After receiving the decision, we help with the transcription of civil status documents, the assignment of a PESEL number, and the submission of an application for a Polish passport.
We work with lawyers
In matters requiring legal analysis, we work with lawyers specializing in civil law. This applies, for example, to ancestors who left before 1920, served in a foreign military, or acquired American citizenship before 1951. This ensures that even unusual cases are in good hands.
Why us?
We operate simultaneously in Poland (head office in Rzeszów) and in the USA (Arizona). We speak Polish and English and we know both sides of the process.
Important: The decision to confirm citizenship is made exclusively by the Polish authorities. We cannot guarantee the result, but we do our best to ensure that your application is complete and well-prepared.
