Sister Cities International – friendship between cities
Sister Cities International is an American non-profit organization founded in 1956 at the initiative of President Dwight D. Eisenhower. Its idea is simple: friendship between nations is built through direct contact between people, schools, governments, and companies. Today, the network brings together more than 570 American cities, counties, and states, linked to approximately 2,300 communities in 150 countries. In 2026, the organization will celebrate its 70th anniversary.
Our foundation represents Sister Cities International in Poland. We help Polish municipalities, counties and cities:
• find a partner in the USA that matches the size and profile of the town,
• prepare a partnership agreement,
• plan youth exchanges, delegation visits, cultural events and economic cooperation,
• obtain funding for these activities.
